Some similarities of both Canada and the United States are...

  • They are both democrocies and are federal unions.
  • They both have one big Capital and many other smaller ones.
  • Both Countries are split up into smaller pieces which are Provinces for Canada, and States for the U.S.
  • Independance day is around the beginning of July.
  • In both of thier constitutions they have freedom rights and procedures for constitional amendments.
  • Both legal systems are mainly based on English common law.
  • To be able to vote you need to be 18 years of age.
  • Even both have someone important in charge, like the Prime Minister for Canada, and the President for the U.S.
